What is a Studio Pingo Summer Camp like?
Studio Pingò has a fun, light atmosphere with lots of time to make some great artwork and learn more about art! Our small class sizes of roughly 10 to 15 students per teacher allow for more hands-on direction. Due to the smaller size, we are able to allow students to have more choice in their subject matter. Students may decide to paint a landscape with acrylics, they may wish to draw a bird with colored pencils, or create a pastel flower. Each art project is specifically chosen by the student based on their interests.
To begin a picture, students choose an image to work from. Each image is made up of a black and white line drawing and a color picture. Students will draw from the black and white image and add color using a variety of art materials. During this time, they will receive detailed instruction that will help them grow immensely in their artistic abilities. Students work at their own pace. Some students may finish 5 or 6 pictures in a week while others may complete fewer. However, we are able to complete a lot in one week because we have 3 hours of intensive art time without interruptions during each day of camp. |
Why should you come to Summer Studio?
If you like making art...then come to Studio Pingò! I, Mr. Gebhardt, got my start at a summer art camp much like this one! Trust me when I say that it is the absolute best way to improve your artistic abilities while having a great time doing what you already love. If it were not for summer art lessons, I would not be the artist that I am today!
Is this a big business or national organization? Not at all! Studio Pingo is a private business started by Mr. and Mrs. Gebhardt. It was founded on their artistic expertise, experience teaching, and desire to educate children!
What happens if I registered, but can no longer make it?If a cancellation is made prior to June 1st, we will issue a refund for the camp registration fee minus $25. No refunds will be issued after June 1st.
